It was a spontaneous trip in the middle of a beautiful day. The ice is off Pumphouse and no doubt people are catching plenty of fish. I turned a canoe paddle into a quick fishing trip with the kids.
I rigged up a chironomid at the end of a bobber and let the kids casst away. They don’t have the patience to work a chironomid slowly so presentation could have been in question.
Best part of the trip was hearing and then finding about six big frogs. Almost caught one!
