Knew it was going to be a work out, appropriately equipped/dressed for the possibilites. Paddled past Bonneyville Creek till the wind/whitecaps too
strong to paddle against anymore. Fishing was only so-so at best (several lakers in the 1 -2 kg range) mostly because the wind was howling - top of
the 2’chop was being blown away - the OK Trident 15 was the only boat on the lake. Biggest problem with the fishing was trolling was impossible - too
slow against the wind, too fast with. Drifted broadside in the worst of it as a Trident science experiment and found its stability to be remarkable, no
problems. Popped the sail for the return and made it all the way back to the narrows in less than 20 minutes, wow. Big fun. Will be back to fly fish for
grayling this week - if it’s calm… Bowrider said he’s going to teach me to roll cast a weighted size 2/0 Clouser 75’....
WHAT?! I don’t even own a fly rod. I could teach you how to sit on the end of a boat though…
Dave…you are far too humble!
