Skagway is hosting its annual King Salmon Fishing Derby on Aug. 4-6,11-13. Over $10,000.00 in cash and prizes to be won. It is a charitable event. Fishing starts at 6am every day. There are many special prizes including some really nice ones for Yukon residents. Check out the website with rules and prize list. See you on the fish.

(5) Commercial fishing intercepting most literally right before they hit freshwater.
Is there not a buffer stipulation in Alaskan regs?
Or is commerical fishery a free for all?
