I’ve been in this situation a few times and usually wiggled my way out. I have to hand it to this “hand’s on” Alaska captain as he hands this guy a handy first aid treatment. WARNING - not for the faint of heart, and a little fishing profanity.
Well scoped Dennis. The way the Captain did it was the rightway. Loop around bend several times and tie overhand. Properly anaesthetize
subject and yank.
Clean area post reloval with H20 with a final flush of 1% iodine.
